So why no blogging? Truth be told, I am an avoider. I think that Bardot may be too small, I have a whole skein left over and didn't buy extra yarn for this project. Here are my thoughts for the past few weeks.....
October 7 - 9: I am at my parents house and have finished my sleeve. Seaming time! I seem up both front and back of each raglan shoulders. Damn, I am a good seemer! Half of the collar is done and I should be completely done in no time!
October 10 - 13..... Knitting the collar is boring! I'll just put this aside, it looks a little small - just avoid the problem and it will go away! Anyway we are going to the Tri-Cities this weekend and I'll need a small project, how about a hat! Perfect I have yarn I want to use and a great pattern!
October 17th: OK, back and ready to work! I am ready to do some more seaming so I finish the right side seem and sleeve. It still seems small.
Today: I should put my arm in the sleeve and see what happens. Huummm, it is a little small so I put my head through the collar and arm through the sleeve. FUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKK! It is so too small. Now I am not sure if I should continue seeming just to see, and keep it as I loose weight. I have big wide shoulders though. I know I swatched. What happened? Check the actual sweater gauge, 6 sts per inch, supposed to be 5.5. FUCKADUCK! What do I do?
On a happier note I got my order from Knitpicks:
Two books I have wanted for a long time and that's Alpaca Cloud in Stream. No gauge lace knitting here I come!
You could sew in a long skinny strip up the under arm and down your side...
Bummer about the sizing - it's often a fear of mine.

Hello, I found your wonderful website while searching for info on the Bardot sweater. I'm thinking of making it. But gee, this is the 2nd blog I've read where the knitter was disappointed at how small the finished product was!
Whatever became of your Bardot sweater? I hope you figured out a way to make it fit because it's so pretty.
